Ardeshir Pourkeramati is a multi-instrumentalist, currently living in Vancouver, British Columbia. Having studied under the well known saxophone wizard Stan Karp, he received his bachelor's degree from Capilano University's jazz studies program, under the instructions of Steve Kaldestad, Bill Coon, and the juno award winning Brad TurnerDuring his time at Capilano, Ardeshir played "tenor sax one" in the University's acclaimed "A" jazz band for two consecutive years, during which he had the chance to share the stage with guests artists such as Donny McCaslin, Ambrose Akinmusire, and the renowned composer Maria Schneider.


Having drawn inspiration from a wide spectrum of genres, Ardeshir's versatility has lead him to playing in different musical groups spanning over several genres (jazz, funk, rock, pop, etc). Aside from being a sideman, Ardeshir also leads his own jazz group, in which they play his original compositions and arrangements.
